Get Crafty With Kids

I've been hunting for crafts that involved kids ever since mine started to show an interest in making a mess (Who am I kidding, kids always loved that don't they?)

I thought, "Hmm, it's about time to start making his mess into beautiful ones" and although that plan often never happens because I get tired even when I'm just imagining what mess will I need to clean up even before we started!

But it's about time I join the crazy moms out there and let the little one unleash his creativity, so today I am sharing with you a blog I totally love that have tons of ideas to get crafty with kids!

 Check out Molly Moo!

Some of my most favourite project from her are as below.

These three are definitely projects that I will try out with my son, and I think I might get more excited than him in these!

Simple and Not-So-Expensive Gifts This Valentine!

Although Chinese New Year and Valentine is pretty darn close this year, let's not forget to have some romance injected while house visiting!

These ideas I found are great for couples who'd opt for a 'simpler' way out without compromising the romance! Some of these are also pretty cute to be package as gifts for house visiting this CNY, letting them know you are possibly the most sensitive and loving guest they'll ever receive ;)

First off, this Hershey's and Rolo V'day pencil is one of the most perfect gifts for friends and family for both the occasion! I'll be hoping to take some time off to make these for friends too!

This super cute '52 Reasons Why I Like You' is also a great alternative to Valentine Cards, arrange them by order and pour your heart out! I'm sure this would melt any person heart!

Next up, these little decorated matchbox also makes a cute gifts, hide them all around the place and have your loved one surprised everytime they find one! I'd change the candies into little notes or small presents for a healthier yet still as cheesy option!

Instead of presenting only one gifts, why not present him/her with little things that you know they love or cannot live without! Practical and still showing how much you care this valentine! This would also make an awesome house visiting gift!

Or why not just wake him up in the morning with his favourite cup of drink, with a simple heart stamp right in the center? Just the perfect way to wake up to the perfect person this valentine don't you think?

Share with us your simple way of showing affection to your loved one this Valentine!

Lotsa Love,

Top Three D.I.Y Best Finds!

 Pinned Image

1) This precious gooey texture is non-other than the famous Mod Podge, only that this is homemade and it's suppose to be very much cheaper than the original Mod Podge...and it claims to work exactly the same! The next time you are heading out to shop for some Mod Podge, try this magical recipe and whisk out your very own!

Flour, sugar, water & white vinegar

2) Have a problem transporting all those helium balloons to your party? Here's one secret recipe to create helium gas alternative for your balloons! The next time it's your turn to host the party, make sure to experiment with this in advance, simply with vinegar + baking soda! Helium balloons cannot get any cheaper than this!

3) Martha Stewart shared her homemade chalkboard paint recipe and it's a great one if you are looking forward to repainting your wall or decor with chalkboard paint! The best thing? You can make it in any colors you like instead of just the plain old black!

Last Minute X'mas Parties Ideas

Something about Christmas always seem to lighten up the mood around the world a little bit more than the other festive seasons around, don't you think?

So obviously, we wouldn't be missing out on some x'mas fun here in The Handmade Movement too! If you haven't notice this week's entries are mostly written with some Christmas spirit!

Just a little bit of randomness here, but the other day a buddy of mine actually asked a Christian what exactly is Christmas celebrating about, so I suppose many of us are not too sure of what we are celebrating this season eh?
(If you really don't know what is Christmas actually celebrating about, please, really, go google it up!)
